Official Local P-Days actions

PORTUGUESE PARTNER

The lead partner of the Green Sports Games – União das Freguesias de Gondomar (S. Cosme), Valbom e Jovim, held an Official Local P-Day on 06/10/2021. After the acquisition of a new field for the youngsters to play football, the local sports club Ataense joined the Green Sports Games project, implementing an ecological local policy of separating waste by plastic, paper or undifferentiated waste. As part of the program, athletes who comply with waste separation will be awarded points, reinforcing positive behavior for environmental awareness.

SLOVENIA PARTNER

The partner Zavod za šport Slovenske Konjice is for 9 years now co-organizer and part of organisation team of Konjice marathon.

Konjice marathon was held on 26.9.2021 and was part also of the Green Sports Games project by introduzing the green thinking into the biggest sport event in our municipality. So after discussion about environmental awarened which was held in June for 2 hours with main organisation team (9 persons) our final conclusions on how we can contribute to greener thingink through sport and making participants of our event more aware of nature were:

  • Considering organisation:
  • Use paper boxes and plastic from bought materials also for some other needed materials or actions;
  • Considering participants:
  • Providing information about environment awareness by speakers on the stage through whole event
  • Showing plastic and paper cups on refresh points during marathon
  • Trash cans for sorting waste (random, glass, bio, embalage…)

Due to COVID rules and restriction we were not able to collect the signatures of participants.

But here is information we gathered by applications according to Zavod za šport Slovenske Konjice:

TURKISH PARTNER

An ecological picnic was made on September 18th in Kastamonu, Turkey, followed by various local sports events with the local community such as table tennis, walking or jogging. Plates, forks and other non-plastic materials were used during the picnic. In the end, all the garbage were collect from the picnic area. We made recycling bins and discarded garbage separately in these bins. We wanted the participants to be aware of the environment when playing the sport. The media and press come to the ecological picnic and highlight the event. This event was attended by 25 participants of various ages from the community.

PORTUGUESE PARTNER

The lead partner of the Green Sports Games – União das Freguesias de Gondomar (S. Cosme), Valbom e Jovim, held an Official Local P-Day action with 46 participants, to raise awareness about the importance of the environment. Through the green spaces initiative that aims to collect garbage, that can be carried out by sports entities in their local community.
This initiative tracks and runs several routes for garbage collection with the involvement of several subgroups, one for each route, and ends with all the subgroups strategically in one place to plant a tree together.

ITALIAN PARTNER

The Green Sports Games project partner – Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica “Polisportiva 2001” – held on 07/07/2021, an environmental awareness event through presentations of the Green Sports Games Project to trainer and sports officers as an campaign for environmental awareness in CORMONS (GORIZIA). In total, 14 participants were involved.

ITALIAN PARTNER

The Green Sports Games project partner – Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica “Polisportiva 2001” – held on 01/07/2021, an environmental awareness event through presentation of the project to the families from the members of the association and to the locals in VILLESSE (GORIZIA). In total, 46 participants were involved.
